VERTIGO, BALANCE, AND BPPV

Using a series of tests and positioning technique Mary Thompson, PT, DPT can determine if vertigo is from a central nervous system issue or if “crystals” in the inner ear have fell into the semi-circular canals. BPPV is a type of vertigo that can easily be helped by positioning the patient in the correct way to allow the “crystals” to move out of the canals. She also treats patients with balance disorders to improve their walking and decrease their chances of falls.
